I have seen dramatic clinical and metabolic improvements in multiple patients, friends, and family members in the 2 years since embarking on my own personal journey towards plant based eating. In that time I have become certified in plant based nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and have become a diplomat of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine to expand my knowledge and clinical skills necessary to effectively educate, council and help transform the llives of my patients. My husband and two young sons have transitioned to a plant based diet and have embraced this new way of life. My husband and I quickly noticed a big difference in our fitness levels achieving a higher level of fitness at age 41 than we both had as collegiate athletes. In addition to improved fitness, we have noticed improved flexibility, less muscle soreness, improved energy, and improved immune function.
As a non-invasive cardiologist practicing at large academic centers for the past 11 years I have watched my patients progressively suffer with recurrent myocardial infarctions, strokes, atrial fibrillation, and more frequent hospitalizations for heart failure despite my attempts at optimizing goal directed medical therapy and referrals for repeat invasive procedures and surgeries. Since I have incorporated lifestyle medicine and plant-based nutrition counseling into my practice over the past 2 years I have seen dramatic improvements in my patients health and well being while decreasing the amount of pharmaceuticals they take. As I enter the middle part of my career I have a new passion to cure and heal my patients with a combination of lifestyle intervention and traditional medicinal and procedural approaches when necessary. I look forward to sharing the wisdom I have gained not only with my patients, but with colleagues, friends and family, through my own personal journey towards plant based eating and the formal knowledge I have gained through formal plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine training.

I have been plant-based since 2009 and am dedicated to promoting the benefits of whole food plant-based nutrition to as many people as possible.
When I began his graduate nutrition studies at New York University, I had a clear goal in mind – help people like YOU integrate nutrition into their lives in a way that is easy, interesting, and enjoyable.
I believe nutrition is much more than just the science of nutrients and the human body – it is a complex interplay of choices, emotions, taste, and health.
I doesn’t simply want you to know what foods are high in vitamin C or what the technical definition of fiber is. I encourage you to step outside your food box and explore new flavors, integrate healthy foods into your life, and never feel like you are putting a morsel into your mouth only because “it’s good for you.”
I have been a Physician Assistant since 2005. Currently working in Internal Medicine. In 2012 I had my own health problems despite heavy exercise, and what I felt was a healthy lifestyle. This prompted me to study the science of Nutrition. Once I saw the evidence I began transitioning to a whole food plant based diet. I got my health back, and then began sharing it with patients. By the end of 2020 I have taught using a food as medicine approach to over 1,500 patients, both in one on one appointments in the clinic, as well as in free classes to my community. I continue to teach and share this vital information, with any and all who are interested in taking control of their own health and wellness.
My name is Kelly Cerutti, I am a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner have a strong interest in Lifestyle Medicine. I am certified in Plant Based Nutrition through Cornell University and enjoy seeing patients’ health improve with positive lifestyle changes. I have been studying plant based nutrition for 30 years and truly believe in it can heal the body, mind, and the earth. Imagine healing your chronic disesase itstead of masking the numbers and the symptoms with medications. I started my career in 2003 as an ICU nurse in Alaska. For 13 years I worked at The Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) and unfortunately, I saw the negative effects of poor lifestyle choices on may patients every day. When I went to graduate school to become a nurse practioner, my intention was to go into a practice that prevents people from every having to be in the ICU, or the hospital for preventative diseases. If you are interested in freeing yourself of medications for blood pressure control or diabetes, weight loss, prevention of chronic condtions, healing chronic conditions, potentially preventing cancer and living a long healthly life free of disease…..please feel free to schedule a consultation with me at the Columbia Memorial Hospital Clinic in Warrenton, Oregon.

After improving her health and fitness through plant-based nutrition, losing 60 pounds and becoming an adult-onset athlete, she retired from her 20-year firefighting career to help people just like you. She works with people and organizations so they can reach their health and wellness goals.
Shortly after her father died from blood cancer in 2008, her state designated blood and other cancers as presumptive illnesses for professional firefighters, prompting Cindy to research how to reduce her personal cancer risk. She discovered that a whole food, plant-based vegan diet that eliminated the consumption of animal products could be key to her health and cancer prevention. Without going on a diet and just putting better fuel (food) into her body, Cindy dropped 60 pounds, 7 uniform pants sizes, 3 uniform shirt sizes, and dropped her cholesterol and blood pressure readings in one year.
Beyond looking better, her fitness level soared, and gave her new energy she could not contain. At the age of 38, Cindy became an adult onset athlete, competing and medaling in marathons, triathlons, open water swim races, and endurance events! Best of all, she’s been able to maintain this without dieting or feeling deprived!
Her fire department was so impressed by her transformation that they put her in charge of the newly formed Wellness Fitness Initiative, a collaborative program between the International Association of Firefighters and International Association of Fire Chiefs. Cindy is a decorated Fire Captain and paramedic, awarded Firefighter of the Year and Oregon State Paramedic of the Year. As part of the prestigious Executive Fire Officer Program at the U.S. Fire Academy, Cindy published original research on firefighter and public health and safety.
Our health and wellness is closely tied to the health of our environment. Cindy incorporates zero-waste and sustainable practices throughout her programs. You’ll see it IS easy being green!
Now that she’s retired from the fire service, Cindy shares her knowledge, experience, infectious enthusiasm for food, health, and fitness as a certified Health Coach, Vegan Lifestyle Coach and Educator, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and Firefighter Peer Fitness Trainer through Trimazing! Health & Lifestyle Coaching. She is a Food for Life Instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, Harvard Medical School Culinary Coach, and Rouxbe Plant-Based Professional, teaching people how to prepare delicious, satisfying, and health-promoting meals. You can find Cindy at Trimazing! Vegan Health & Lifestyle Coaching and be reached at cindy@trimazing.com.
