I have a strong family history of heart disease and diabetes. I struggled with my weight, yo-yoing up and down for years. I actually felt hopeless until I learned about plant-based nutrition. Becoming plant-based has been the best decision of my life both personally and professionally. I have lost 75 pounds, lowered my blood pressure down to the 90’s/60’s range, and have helped many of my patients prevent and reverse many of their chronic conditions . There is nothing more gratifying than reversing diseases and eliminating medications that many patients were told they would need to take for the rest of their lives. The icing on the cake, no pun intended (unless it is a whole foods, plant-based cake!), is that the only side effects of this lifestyle are good ones.
