I am a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in Clearwater, Florida. Initially trained in acupressure, then in massage therapy, I finally ended up with a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine in 2004 from the East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota. My approach combines acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and high quality nutritional supplements, if needed, with a whole-foods, plant-based nutrition recommendation. I also utilize massage therapy and cupping therapy for musculo-skeletal pain conditions. In practice since 2004, I see many women for endometriosis and fertility related health conditions, as well as cancer patients who are currently undergoing conventional cancer treatments, or who have recently completed their treatments. Of course, plant-based nutrition is a top recommendation for all of my patients, especially those with any sort of chronic and/or degenerative health condition.

I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who is dually board certified in both anesthesia (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) and family care (Family Nurse Practitioner). Dr. Niki Davis began eating plant based as a teenager but realized that, oftentimes, she was not following a healthy whole food diet. Through personal research, she learned that a whole food plant based lifestyle is the healthy way to approach nutrition for herself and her family. In fact, it was so important to her it was the reason she decided to go from being a “rocket scientist” (she previously worked as a mechanical engineer on the Space Shuttle program) to a family and lifestyle medicine board certified MD, graduating from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2017. She obtained a plant based nutrition certificate from eCornell, assisted Dr. John McDougall and Dr. Anthony Lim during a McDougall live-in program and completed an internship at True North Health Center with mentors Dr. Alan Goldhamer and Dr. Michael Klaper. She has had great success helping her patients prevent and reverse chronic (lifestyle related) disease through lifestyle change, notably through a plant based diet. After completing her residency in June 2020, her mission has been focused on treating patients via telemedicine, virtual wellness retreats and, eventually, in-person retreats in different locations around the world.

My health journey started over a decade ago, after the birth of my first son. At that time, I was constantly suffering from headaches, fatigue, migraines, lack of energy, chronic anemia, and a general feeling that I wasn’t in my best health. At that time, a friend of mine introduced me to a whole-food, plant-based diet.
Feeling desperate from having too much coffee and supplements but never really feeling energized, both my husband and I decided to give his recommendations a try. After three weeks, we started to feel better and much more energized. We even lost some weight in the process. I became much more focused and could maintain better concentration throughout my Engineering undergraduate studies.
This positive experience led us to decide to stick to this diet, which we are still practicing today. I consider this one of the best life decisions I have ever made. Feeling the effects in my body, I became an advocate for healthy nutrition. My biology background, and my service in the army as a medic, means I am comfortable digging into the details and learning more about these topics. For over a decade now, I eagerly study and expand my knowledge about healthy nutrition, and earned Master of Science in Nutrition (MScN) at National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM).
These days I’m offering nutrition counseling, classes, coaching, and recipes to promote healthier diet and lifestyle at my Just Eat Well practice. In addition, as a faculty adjunct member at NUNM, I’m teaching an immersive course about the Mediterranean Diet and the Israeli Culinary Culture.

I know first-hand how hard and challenging a lifestyle and diet transition can be—socially, emotionally— and most of all discovering out what works best for you and what does not. It takes a lot of practice, time, knowledge and support! After working with many patients from all walks of life, I understand everyone who goes through the transition into a healthier lifestyle and may need to give up their favorite foods. I’ve been there, and I know exactly how it feels craving for something you are unable to eat. Of course, these aren’t the only struggles. But that’s why I’m here to support you with each challenge that you may face.
As a nutritionist, I acknowledge that each and every one of us is unique—and so are our nutritional needs.
