What is whole food, plant-based?

Whole food, plant-based is a dietary lifestyle that focuses on maximizing the intake of whole, plant-foods and minimizing the intake of highly processed and animal derived foods including refined flours, beef, chicken, pork, fish, dairy and eggs.

Why whole food, plant-based?

According to the CDC, nearly 60% of the population suffers the potentially debilitating effects of at least one chronic illness. These illnesses are the leading factor in the nation’s crippling $3.3 trillion in healthcare costs. With global populations facing similar grim statistics, it is obvious that change is needed.

There is a large and growing body of evidence demonstrating the efficacy of a whole food plant-based dietary lifestyle to prevent or reverse nearly 80% of chronic lifestyle related illnesses.

The whole food, plant-based dietary lifestyle is the only way of eating that has been proven to prevent and reverse heart disease and type 2 diabetes and is capable of preventing and treating a host of other chronic illnesses including auto-immune diseases, asthma, allergies, acne and acid reflux and much more.

Have you expanded your search to include providers that offer telehealth services?

Telehealth practitioners use of secure video conferencing technology to deliver patient care remotely rather than in person, in the practitioner's place of service.

Telehealth is an emerging service, increasingly offered by practitioners. It is a service that greatly expands treatment options for all patients but particularly for those patients in areas where there are few practitioners or for patients that require highly specialized care.
