I’ve been studying, researching, and practicing from a holistic model for over 20 years, but really got serious about it 15 years ago when I witnessed a couple of my patients recover from terminal cancer through regimented plant-based eating, movement therapy, mindfulness training, and psychotherapy. I became my own believer that the mind/body/spirit model, centered around utilizing food as medicine works and have been fighting for it within the medical establishment for years, often against well-intentioned, but ill-informed physicians, While it has often felt like an uphill battle, I am glad that the movement has taken hold and is peer-reviewed as a scientific and viable path to preventing and eradicating syndromes — such as chronic fatigue, MS and obesity, diseases — such as Cancer and Arteriosclerosis, and many psychological disorders — such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder etc. I practice in conjunction with each patient’s doctors, health care team and support system.
