I believe that personal nutrition can have the biggest single impact on most of the health-related problems we face in first-world countries. The whole food, plant-based diet can transform the human body to be resistant to heart diseases, type-2 diabetes and the cancers of civilization. Decreasing and eliminating these problems would transform our “healthcare” system and save millions of dollars, as well as human lives.
It has the potential to reverse some of the damage we are doing to our environment as well. And it would eliminate the cruelty to which we subject our fellow beings on the planet.
With the potential for such sweeping positive changes in our world, the whole food, plant-based diet is truly something to pioneer and teach to everyone with whom we come in contact.
