Eating a plant-based whole food diet would cure 75% of chronic disease!! If a pill could do that, who wouldn’t be taking it?? So, why don’t more people eat right? I think the biggest barriers to doing so are lack of education/knowledge, the amount of misinformation out there, lack of time (processed/packaged foods are easy and fast) and money (the dairy corporation, the meat industry, big food, big pharma). I am saddened by the number of young patients that come into my office and are obese, suffering from disease (hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, arthritis, chronic fatigue) and just not feeling good.
