Emily believes the how is just as important as the why and the what. For this reason when she started her business, Love & Plants, at the end of 2014 she knew she wanted to offer lifestyle education and support along with counseling people on nutrition. She offers grocery store tours, pantry makeovers and hands on cooking classes. She also has a meal plan subscription to help an even broader audience, literally anywhere in the world. For only $10 a month Emily sends out 3 new recipes every Friday with an easy to follow shopping list and usually a bonus recipe or two. Members also receive access to a private Facebook group for additional support.
Emily will see patients out of her home or theirs all around the Willamette Valley in Oregon. She does have limited office hours at a chiropractic office in Wilsonville, OR. She is also willing and able to meet with clients virtually if needed.
Emily studied Foods & Nutrition at George Fox University in Newberg, OR. After graduating she went on to earn a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell and the T. Colin Campbell Foundation. Subsequently she graduated from Rouxbe’s Plant-Based culinary certificate course. She has personally eaten a plant-based diet since 2007 and experienced what it is like to leave behind the standard American diet. Emily has been able to help countless others make the transition to eating more plant-based or completely plant-based. She has had clients reverse diseases that their doctors told them were irreversible. And she has inspired people by showing them that eating healthy does not equal a deprived life. You can have delicious and nutritious food at the same time.
Emily founded her business, Love & Plants, at the end of 2014 after spending several years as a Healthy Eating Specialist for Whole Foods Market. Emily has also worked with Engine 2 at several of their health retreats. She volunteers for NW Veg a non profit based in Portland, OR teaching cooking classes and organizing the NW Health and Nutrition Conference held every fall, which has had speakers such as Dr. Neal Barnard, T. Colin Campbell, Dr, Joel Fuhrman, Dr. Brooke Goldner, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Brenda Davis, Julieanna Hever, and many other incredible plant-based clinicians.
If you are interested in working with Emily she is happy to set up a complimentary 15 minute consult to make sure you are a good fit for one another. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 971-832-9212
